Eligibility Criteria of Assam Rifles Recruitment
To get selected for various posts in Assam Rifles candidates must fulfill the required educational qualification and age limit criteria. Dependent family members of Assam Rifles personnel who were killed in action died in service, who were discharged from service on medical grounds and went missing while in service, only through compassionate ground appointment are eligible to apply for the Assam Rifles Recruitment.
Age Limit: Candidates’ age should be between 18 to 23 years as of 01.01.2022. Candidates should have been born not earlier than 01.08.199 and not later than 01.08.2004.
Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation is given below.
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
Educational Qualification:
1. Trade – Bridge and Road (Both Male and Female candidates): (a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or University (b) Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute for Bridge and Road.
2. Trade – Clerk (Both Male and Female Candidates): (a) Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board/University or equivalent. (b) Skill Test Criteria on Computer. English typing with a speed of a minimum of 35 words per minute on a computer or Hindi typing with a speed of a minimum of 30 words per minute on a computer (time allowed-10 minutes).
3. Trade – Religious Teacher (Only for Male candidates): Graduation with Madhyamik in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi.
4. Trade – Operator Radio & Line (Only for Male candidates): Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board and Two years Industrial Training Institute in Radio & Television or Electronics from a recognized Institute OR 12th class pass OR Physics, Chemical Equivalent with Science, and Mathematics as a subject of study from a recognized Board or University or Institute.
5. Trade – Radio Mechanic (Only for Male candidates): Diploma in Radio & Television Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Home Appliances from a recognized Board from any Institute recognized by the Central Government or SLET 10th from a recognized Government or 12th class or Intermediate equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute with an aggregate of fifty percent marks.
6. Trade – Armorer (Only for Male candidates): 10th class pass from a recognized board.
7. Trade – Laboratory Assistant (Only for Male Candidates): 10th class pass with English, Maths, Science, and Biology from a recognized Board.
8. Trade – Nursing Assistant (Only for Male candidates): 10th class pass with English. math. Science and Biology from a recognized board.
9. Trade – Veterinary Field Assistant (Only for Male Candidates): 10+2 pass with two years Diploma Certificate in Veterinary Science from a recognized University/ Institute and one year experience in the Veterinary field.
10. Trade – Aya (For Female candidates only): 10th pass from a recognized board.
11. Trade – Dhobi (Only for male candidates): 10th pass from a recognized board.
